I get really bad winter blues. It starts to creep in about November and doesn’t leave until March. I’m usually such a positive thinker and an eternal optimist but right now, I’m grumpy, lethargic, and I complain about the weather incessantly. I just wish you can go from Christmas to Spring and skip January and February. Yesterday, I decided to take a walk in Central Park and go to my favorite spot, the Mall. I always think that the park is not as pretty during the winter but I think that’s the problem with me, I need to see the beauty in everything and not the obvious “pretty” things. I looked at the bare trees in the Mall for the first time and realized just how gorgeous they are. It’s that expression if you can’t beat ’em join ’em. I might as well enjoy the winter and cure my blues once and for all because if it wasn’t for the winter, you wouldn’t appreciate the beautiful things that grow in the Spring.
