Upgraded Fruit Salad

upgradedfruitsaladWhen it’s scorching hot outside and I’m dripping in sweat, the last thing I want to do is eat something heavy.  Summer is the season of light and fresh eating.  I’ve been making different upgraded fruit salads for breakfast and dessert.  When I say upgraded, I just mean that it’s not your average fruit cup.  I took ripe melon and sliced them on a mandolin into thin ribbons.  I added blackberries and chopped basil on top.  It’s not rocket science but somehow the presentation makes it special.  Stayed tuned for more upgraded fruit salads.  Stay cool everyone!
