My boyfriend mentioned that he missed the holidays for 1 specific reason, gingerbread and I couldn’t agree more. We walked through the Union Square farmer’s market last weekend and a lot of the stands had gingerbread cake. The smell of gingerbread is one of my favorite smells. I decided to make a gingerbread cake so we can eat it for breakfast. We have been eating it all week with some fresh whipped cream. I used Gourmet Magazine’s recipe (here).
