Blackberry Tart

When I went to Mariage Freres in Paris, I fell in love with blackberry tart.  I love that blackberries are plump, sweet and tart.  I think what I loved most about that experience was that I was in Paris for the first time on my birthday at a tea salon and was treating myself to a blackberry tart at 3 pm.  Where else can you do that but Paris?  I wanted to recreate that blackberry tart and that special memory.  I used the pie dough recipe from here and the blackberry tart recipe from here.  I made it extra decadent by adding gold heart shaped sprinkles on top.  My motto in life is, life is too short…eat dessert!
