I have the most amazing group of friends who I grew up with in Rockland. Some of us have known each other since we were 6 and others when we were 13. Two of my friends even got married this summer. We are a tight knit group and as we grow older, we see each other less and less. It’s a fact that’s hard for me to accept. So when I heard that everyone was getting together last Saturday, I had to come back early from Slovakia to see everyone. We all convened at my girlfriend Flanagan’s (aka Lauren) house in Westchester, a 30 minute train ride from Manhattan. The scene couldn’t have been more picturesque…it was snowing, Flanagan’s house was decorated like it was from a Christmas card, and all of us friends were together again since our friends’ wedding. What I love about our friendships is that no matter how much time has past, it’s like we never missed a beat. We’re still pulling pranks on each other and we are constantly hugging each other like there’s no tomorrow. We ate, we laughed, and we played in the snow. This year has definitely made me appreciate every single person in my life and I’m so glad I came home to see them. I love all of you more than you know.
