Taking a curling lesson
I’ve been having a hate relationship with NY the last 2 months. I was trying to stay positive about the long Winter but it was starting to wear on me. On top of that I was dealing with major apartment issues, was sick for an entire month, and other issues I won’t get into here. I was definitely blaming all my troubles on NY and after a trip to LA, I was questioning why I live here. I was convinced only crazy people live here. When I told my mom about my frustrations, she was quick to say something like, “Laura YOU are NY. Not everyone can make it here but you are made for NY.” It took my mom to say those words that made me remember why I love this city so much. People don’t live in NY for an easy life. They come here to achieve something, to pursue their dreams, and be among the best of the best. Because let’s be honest, if you wanted it easy you wouldn’t live here. So I did a 360 and decided to embrace the last bit of Winter. If you can’t beat ’em join ’em right? Just when I did, there were signs of Spring warmer and longer days. Finally!! These were the things I’ve been lovin’ this week.
