When people ask me what I think of when I think of happiness. My answer is always cooking at home, eating and drinking with friends and family, eating healthy, working out, and getting enough “me” time. This week, I did something that is so hard for me. I said no. I didn’t give excuses or lied, I just said no because I needed time for myself. I always feel like everyone (including myself) is always in a rush. I decided I would take this week to slow down, get rest, cook at home, read, and take long walks through the park. It was the best decision I ever made. Sometimes, I need to chill out to remember the reasons why I’m working so hard and the dreams and goals I want to achieve. I hope you will take some time for yourself to recharge. Laura Chung is a New York based Energy Healer and Meditation Teacher. She has her Masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and spent most of her adult life in corporate America following a traditional life path. After achieving what most people would say a “successful” life, she did not feel any happier or fulfilled. On a quest to find her true purpose in life, she quit her job in 2017.
