 {Ombre tree and sitting in the sun in Sheep’s Meadow}

The beginning of this week was gorgeous.  All I wanted to do was take walks in Central Park and take photos of the trees.  You can get lost in there for hours.  Then the weather turned and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to test out new recipes and start baking some Halloween treats.  I finally got the chance to see the Fireflies on Water at the Whitney Museum by artist Yayoi Kusama.  She recently did a collaboration with Louis Vuitton as well.  The exhibit was more like an installation.  You stand on a platform surrounded by water in a room (they give you 1 minute for each person) with mirrored walls and filled with lights.  I thought I was in a dream, it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.  I made sure I got there early because I didn’t want to wait in a huge line (remember McQueen at the MET?)  This weekend, the Halloween festivities are beginning!  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays but I’m still a bit traumatized after last year’s blizzard (read here).  Now, I hear there’s a hurricane coming this weekend…what’s going on?!  TGIF xo
