We all woke up on our final day in Marrakech with a mission to see as much as we could before we had to leave. The plan was to eat breakfast, take a 2 hour walking tour while seeing Bahia Palace, Badi Palace, the Saadian Tombs and eat our last lunch before we head to the airport. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t wake up that morning with sadness that this magical trip was coming to an end and that we would have to leave Marrakech. I feel like we just scratched the surface of seeing Morocco and it was hard to leave most of it undiscovered but alas, we did have a pretty freakin AMAZING week in Morocco so I can’t have a pity party for long.
Not all those who wander are lost but maybe in this case we were lost…
At Bahia Palace it’s all about the details in the mosaic tiles, the cedar wood, and the intricate carving in the archways.
See what I mean, the details.
The doorways were so beautiful.
I got lost looking at every nook and cranny of the rooms. Even the ceilings were esquisite so don’t forget to always look up.
Amazing entryway at Saadian Tombs.
Badi Palace looks more like ruins than a grand 16th century palace but in my opinion that’s what made the palace interesting because it looks like ancient ruins.
The storks look small in this photo but they are huge birds.
Our last meal at Le Jardin.
Having a green moment.
